The brook trout is native to Labrador streams, creeks, lakes, and rivers. It is also native to a wide area of eastern North America but is thriving in the remote waters of Labrador.

The Labrador Brook Trout is of dark green to brown basic coloration with a distinctive marbled pattern of lighter shades across the flanks and back and extending at least to the dorsal fin, and often to the tail. Labrador Brook Trout have a sprinkling of red dots, surrounded by blue halos, along the flank. A brook trout’s belly and lower fins are reddish in color with the lower fins having beautiful white leading edges.
The brook trout belly becomes very red or orange when the fish are spawning especially the males. An outdoorsman on a Labrador Brook Trout fishing trip can expect to catch several fish daily while enjoying our beautiful scenery. Brook Trout reach a maximum recorded length of thirty three inches and a maximum recorded weight of 21 pounds.
